Part XV:
A Christmas Boat Parade

A Christmas Boat Parade:

Challenged is their path, not an easy quest,
Trials they face, a test, a solemn test.
The beach calls them forth, twilight's picnic near,
Yet the Boat Parade stalls, delay and fear.

In panic, the Fool cries, "My Maiden, beware,
The bridge to the beach, in need of repair."
He sought a place serene, by the bay's free flow,
Found a park where they'd stay, come weal or woe.

The Maiden arrived, their journey now shared,
Her calm, steadfast presence, through trials they dared.
In the night, she shimmered, their picnic set fast,
Her grace unassuming, amidst shadows cast.

On the car's tailgate, 'neath the starry skies,
They sat, hearts alight, as the night-time flies.
Gazing at heavens, boats gliding in sight,
Their souls intertwined in the soft moonlight.

This night brought the Fool a joy deep and bright,
To friends, he proclaimed, his heart's pure delight,
"I've found someone special, who holds my heart dear,
Parting from her side fills me with deep fear."

Introduction:

Our second date was meant to be a serene evening on the beach, with a picnic and heartfelt conversation. But the universe had other plans—the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Boat Parade brought unexpected delays with raised intercoastal crossings. Though a small challenge, it was a sign from the universe that adversity would bring us closer together. And it did.

Eventually, we found our way to a park with a boat ramp, where we enjoyed a picnic under the stars and watched a few boats glide by. The evening was perfect, affirming that if we could overcome challenges together, a bright future awaited us.
